He'll hate me one day for this...

but Zachary went poo poo in the potty this morning and I had to get a picture!
He's been telling us for a while now, "I go potty". When he's dry or clean we sit him on the potty, but usually without results. This morning he came and told me, "Poo poo, I go potty", so I checked and he was still clean. He walked as I followed and he sat on the potty...nothing. A few minutes later, he told Sloan, "poo poo" and started making the face (you know what I'm talking about) so Sloan told him he should go sit on the potty...next thing you know we have POO POO IN THE POTTY!!!
Grant wasn't really sure what was happening and even said, "Oh no, Zachary!" when he saw the results in the potty. But after reassuring him that Zachary put his poo poo in the right place, Grant clapped and cheered for his brother.
I was 5 minutes late for work...but it was worth it!

The Zoo: Round Two

This is the second time the boys have been to the zoo and...sorry Dad...they had so much more fun this time! They have been reading about animals and have seen a lot on their adventures with the "Little Einsteins", so they were SUPER excited to get to see them in person. The best part was that we went on a Thursday afternoon and it was a bit cold (it was January...go figure) so NOBODY was there! Sadly, the elephants were sick so we only saw them through a window. But we did learn that just a few days after we were there, a baby giraffe was born. We'll have to go back soon and see that little cutie...the giraffes are my absolute FAVORITE animal at the zoo...I could stand there all day and watch Zachary's little cheeks puff up when he says "girapphh".

Unrelated to the zoo...

We had a yard sale this past Saturday with a few of our neighbors. Here's Zachary trying to figure out why is "boy shoes" are out on the side walk. Sadly no one bought them, so they went to Goodwill. "Bye-bye boy shoes!" (Anyone who knows Zachary knows that he says "bye-bye" to EVERYTHING.)

We're 2!

Last weekend we celebrated our little guys turning two! Here's a look at all the fun we had at a local children's music studio.

Turning two also meant a trip to the pediatrician where we were lucky to escape without any shots. Here are the stats:

Height: Zachary - 35 inches (75%) Grant - 36 inches (75-90%)

Weight: Zachary - 26.4 lbs (25-50%) Grant - 31.2 lbs (75-90%)

Now we know why Zachary's pants won't stay up. Surprisingly he is the better eater!

And now....Zachary's impression of a cat (I finally got it on video):

We've been pretty busy!

Uncle "Shoes" came in town on the 23rd so we were able to spend Christmas eve with him and Papa Youngblood. Since Sloan was working a 24 hour shift that started 7am Christmas morning, we had our official Christmas a day early.
The boys wore their Christmas pajamas and woke up Christmas eve to full stockings and presents under the tree.
(I'm sure Jason will appreciate that I cropped his bed-head out of that picture!)
Zachary and Grant got a Mr. Potato Head set for Christmas and became obsessed with wearing the glasses!
We did tons of laundry! I know this is random, but Grant really enjoyed helping and I thought the picture was cute!
We left for Grandma and Papa Charlie's the day after Christmas. Papa Charlie bought he boys a Harley, but after Zachary crashed it into the wall he was terrified of it and would have nothing to do with it after that!
We had a birthday party in Austin on the 3rd. The boys are really interested in "diggers" and I found the perfect cake at HEB!
Once we washed off as much of the blue icing as we could, the boys opened a lot of really great presents!
Zachary and Grant LOVE their plane banks from Aunt Kathy, we talk about them every day!
I love Zachary's expression in this picture! We need to be opening his present!
We were so happy that Great-Papa was at our birthday party!
There is more to come! I'll try to be better about getting things posted!
