ZacharyYou were my first born. You started out so small but you were such a determined little boy from the start, making your entry into this world well before you should have. You have always done things at your own pace. At one year you still weren't walking. Very content to crawl until you felt it was time to test out your feet. You had the best little laugh that came straight from the belly. You were very curious and studied how things worked. You never gained a sense of fear and visited the emergency room for the second time earning seven stitches and your first scar.At two years you started to test your independence and really let us know what Zachary timing was all about. You did (and still do) things as you wanted, when you were good and ready. I have often labeled you as my defiant child, especially when you would give me a little smirk when I would try to discipline you. You learned to LOVE books and made yourself at home in any one's lap that would read to you...even if it was the same book over and over. You learned how cute you really were and often flirted with women wherever we would go. And here you are now, such a big boy with such a big heart. You are so sweet! You entertain yourself well and spend lots of time with your trucks. Any kind of truck, tractor or construction equipment catches your attention and fascinates you beyond belief. I find it even harder to tell you "no" these days, the little quiver of your pouty chin does me in every time. It melts my heart when you tell me that you love me just out of the blue. You are just like your daddy in every way...although it drives me nuts at times, I wouldn't have it any other way.

GrantMy little punkin! You were mommy's boy from the start. My arms were where you made yourself cozy and spent most of your time. You were and still are a boy who loves to snuggle.
At one year you were getting brave on your feet. You were the first to walk and continue to be very physical. You continued to love being close and always wanting to be held. We always laughed at how much you would eat and you definitely got your mamma's sweet tooth. You loved to pick on your brother (and still do), I think it was your way of showing your love for him.At two years you really figured out what your little body was capable of! You climbed and opened anything you could. You found your voice and you love to talk. You could make us all laugh by being your usual silly self. Sometime during this year you forgot what it meant to sleep through the night, but learned what snuggling with your daddy was all about. You continued to be such a little people pleaser and were easy to discipline because of it. I still think that is why you potty-trained so easily, you always looked at me after you went potty and asked, "Mommy, I make you happy?", my confirmation was all you needed! And now here you are, three years old! You are such a little man...bossy as can be. I have no idea where you get that from! You are growing more and more like me everyday. You are very determined to finish what you start and love consistency in your routine. You ask tons of questions and always want to help me with whatever I am doing. I love seeing you learn new things and getting to see the world through your eyes.

I can't wait to see what the next year brings! Happy birthday little guys!
