15 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 15 weeks!
Size of baby:About the size of an orange4-4 1/4 inches long and weighs about 2-2 1/2 ounces.
Total Weight Gain/Loss: 6 pounds
Maternity Clothes: All of my pants are maternity but I can still wear some of my longer shirts.
Gender: Last week our doctor said he was pretty sure it was a girl!
Movement: Nothing yet!
Sleep:  Since I am taking Benadryl every night for allergies, I am sleeping VERY well!
What I miss: Not being restricted in what I can do...more on that in a minute.
Cravings: Vegetables!!!  I got in trouble for a splurge at Whole Foods this week :(
Symptoms: HEARTBURN!!!  Holy cow!  Other than the constant heartburn, I have been having a lot of hip pain.  Nausea is gone and I am generally feeling good as long as I have Tums handy!
Best Moment this week: Doctor's appointment on Wednesday.  It was great to see how much our sweet babe has grown and seeing her dance around in my tummy!

This isn't normally part of it, but this week (and hopefully only this week) I am adding...
Worst moment this week:  Having to go to L&D to be scanned and having a threat of miscarriage.  Thankfully everything is OK!  I starting having some bleeding Friday evening and ended up going to the hospital to make sure everything was okay.  The baby's heartbeat looked great and my cervix was closed...all signs that I was not miscarrying.  Since I am still early in pregnancy, my placenta is still fairly low...it was suspected that that was the cause of my bleeding and not anything more serious.  But since I am Rh- and Sloan is + it required blood tests and eventually a Rhogam shot.  It seems as though I can't escape early visits to L&D with either of my pregnancies.  I swore to Sloan that, as long as everything continues to go well with this pregnancy, we are done.  It is just too emotional and scary when things like this happen!

We are praying that our babe hangs in there and that this will be that last of episodes like this!

  2. I am praying for a healthy and hopefully scare free pregnancy from here on out! I can't wait to hear what this little one might be named and to officially buy something girly for her! We need to get together when our schedules are clear in the next month or two! :)
