I wish I had taken a REAL before picture...but I forgot, so here is the picture right before I ripped the shelf off the wall!
I still have a LONG way to go before I really like the way this room looks, but here is the most recent update.
I got the big containers at Sam's to use in the pantry, but found something better for that task so I added them to the laundry room. The only problem...they had bright yellow lids...so I spray painted them. The little one had a Christmas tree on it and was given to us full of cookies back in December. I'm not sure the spray paint will last, but it is a good temp fix until I get what I really want for this space.

This looks great!! Did you see what I did in my laundry room to cover the ugly faucet thingys? What are builders thinking anyway!? I'm loving the curtain (I can see a tiny bit of it) over your door. You're giving me inspiration here. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE it! When you come up with a situation for you "ugliness," let me know -- I have the same ugly hole in my wall too.
ReplyDeleteI have that same ugly hole in the wall and I am thinking of making a cute laundry sign to hang in front of it. It would have only needed to be a little lower, to be hidden. I have some work to be done on my laundry room soon, and can't wait for some changes. Yours is looking great. Jackie
ReplyDeleteIt's looking good sofar. Have you thought about using different size glass containers with lids? Maybe Ikea?
ReplyDeleteYes...I have lots of thing I would LOOOOVE to do in here, but I am trying really hard to make this a fix-up without spending any money, so I am trying to use what we already have...we'll see how it all comes together. Thanks for the suggestion!
ReplyDeleteI never thought about spray painting tupperware containers. Such a practical thing to really spice up old containers. Love it!
