We've been a little busy!
First, Grant had surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. Here he is on some "silly syrup" before they took him back for surgery. They even gave his Clifford a wristband and took him back to the OR with him.
Then, Zachary looked like this for a couple of days as the same nose bleed kept coming back. Poor guy!
Then, we started ripping apart our kitchen floor. Fun times!
It SNOWED IN HOUSTON!!! I know those of you in the north are looking at this snow and wondering what the big deal is. Our city shut down as schools were canceled and roads were closed. Houston doesn't own a single sand truck or snow plow! Ha! It really was more of a concern for ice as it stayed below freezing for almost 24 hours and rained most of the time. Sadly, we lost a LOT of plants.

We finished tiling and grouting most of our kitchen floor. I am in LOVE with my new floor! Black Friday Lowes special on the tile saved us lots of arguments over what color tile to choose! We tiled our entire kitchen, breakfast area and laundry room for just over $200! Sweat. Equity.
Sloan took the boys to his mom's house for 27 hours (yes I counted). They reconnected with a gift they got last year for Christmas while I slept in and enjoyed having the house to MYSELF. This may or may not have involved staying in bed until 11:00am on Sunday and skipping church.

ReplyDeleteSecond - 27 hours?! Nice! I don't know what I'd do with myself. Probably the same as you! :-)
Merry Christmas!
