This is the second time the boys have been to the zoo and...sorry Dad...they had so much more fun this time! They have been reading about animals and have seen a lot on their adventures with the "Little Einsteins", so they were SUPER excited to get to see them in person. The best part was that we went on a Thursday afternoon and it was a bit cold (it was January...go figure) so NOBODY was there! Sadly, the elephants were sick so we only saw them through a window. But we did learn that just a few days after we were there, a baby giraffe was born. We'll have to go back soon and see that little cutie...the giraffes are my absolute FAVORITE animal at the zoo...I could stand there all day and watch Zachary's little cheeks puff up when he says "girapphh".
Unrelated to the zoo...
We had a yard sale this past Saturday with a few of our neighbors. Here's Zachary trying to figure out why is "boy shoes" are out on the side walk. Sadly no one bought them, so they went to Goodwill. "Bye-bye boy shoes!" (Anyone who knows Zachary knows that he says "bye-bye" to EVERYTHING.)
