9 Month Update

Zachary and Grant turned 9 months old on the 7th of this month. Yesterday, we went for their 9 month check-up....yeah no shots this time!

Here are the stats:

Zachary

Height: 27 inches - 10th percentile

Weight: 18lbs 8ozs - 20th percentile

Teeth: 6 (4 top, 2 bottom)

Grant

Height: 28.5 inches - 50th percentile

Weight: 21lbs - 55th percentile

Teeth: 4 (2 top, 2 bottom)

Although Zachary is smaller, he is still continuing on his growth curve, so we are happy with that. They are just two very different little boys...personality and all. Zachary may be the little guy, but he is definitely the bully and lets Grant know he is the big brother in spite of what the scale says.

Here are some things we are doing now:

• sitting up without support
• raising up to our knees
• dragging ourselves around on our bellies
• standing with some help
• banging on everything
• making b, d, g, y, and m sounds
• recognizing our names
• pinching small objects
• feeding ourselves snacks (and making quite the mess)
• we have given up our pacifiers without a fight and now we only use them at nighttime and for naps
• our worst habit by far this month is deciding that we are too big for naps...but mommy and daddy usually win this battle

Here is evidence of Zachary picking on his little brother...hmmm, should I pull it? We are guessing Zachary must be a little jealous of Grant's full head of hair.
