Match Day

Today is the day that we have long been anticipating...residency match day! Sloan successfully matched into an Anesthesiology residency here in Houston at Baylor. This is a wonderful institution for Sloan to train at, and it helps that he knows his way around the hospitals here very well. We will be staying in Houston for at least the next 4 years. We will go to live with Sloan's mom for the summer, this will act as our break from Houston and some time to save up money before residency starts. I hope to go back to Westbury Christian School in the fall to continue to teach 4th grade, I pray it all works out and that that is possible...I can't tell you how much I have missed those kids!

Here is a little glimpse into what life has been like for us around here. Thankfully our wonderful church family has provided us with some very well prepared meals. That leaves me time to do the gobs of laundry these boys accumulate! In case you are wondering why there are so many pictures of us in our bed...we are currently all crammed into a one bedroom, so we all share a room and that is the most comfy place to sit with the boys!

  1. Did I just read that correctly! You will be in Houston 4 years! I just knew we were going to have to say goodbye to the Youngbloods. I am so excited about your news. The pictures of Zachary and Grant are precious.
